I began my career with a degree in Health Education and a desire to teach people how to live healthier lifestyles…Over thirty years later, I am still at it! I have worked in a variety of settings: hospitals, physical therapy clinics, YMCA’s, private gyms, sports centers, and have run my own personal training and nutrition education businesses. 

I graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and studied at the T.Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies where I learned innovative coaching methods, practical lifestyle management techniques, and over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, gluten-free, Paleo, raw, vegan, macrobiotics, and everything in between.

I am also a certified Prevent T2 Diabetes instructor.

My education has equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention. Drawing on my expertise, I work with my clients to help make lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results. You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

Hypnotherapy and reiki Healing

After decades of working with people on nutrition and fitness, one thing became very evident to me: taking care of our spiritual selves is every bit as important – or more – as taking care of the physical being. Habits, beliefs, and emotions can have deep roots that influence our motivation and ability to develop and adhere to healthy habits. 

Hypnotherapy is useful with a wide variety of issues including weight management, sleep issues, stress and anxiety, addiction issues, relationships, and procrastination or time management. In hypnotherapy sessions, I help clients go into a deep and relaxing meditation that allows them to discover and address issues from their past that may be blocking their progress in meeting goals. It’s important to note that hypnotherapy is not at all like you might have seen on a stage. You are not asleep. You will remember everything and are always in control of your body and mind.

Reiki Therapy is an ancient energy healing modality that can open the energy centers, or chakras, in your body, reducing inflammation, promoting healing,  and relaxation. Reiki is not massage, though licensed massage practitioners may use massage in their reiki practice. In my reiki sessions, you are guided through a relaxing meditation, and then rest quietly while I guide energy through your chakra centers and to areas of pain or discomfort.

private health coaching

My One-On-One Coaching begins with a free consultation where we get to know each other and talk about your health concerns. If we decide we are a good match and you would like to pursue coaching, we will set up a program to continue working together, either in person or virtually.

Each session will leave you feeling inspired and motivated. We will talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life that affect the way you nourish your body. I will personally and carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.

As your Health Coach, I will listen carefully and we’ll navigate the world of contradictory nutrition and health advice together to explore what truly works for you.

Together we will:

  • Connect the dots between who you are and who you want to be
  • Create your personal blueprint
  • Decipher your body’s unique needs
  • Set your personal goals and work towards sustainable change

What you get:

  • Two 50-minute sessions per month
  • Email support between sessions
  • Personalized tools specific to your needs and goals
